Hospital Medical Staff Credentialing &
Prescription Assistance
Panhandle Area Health Network (PAHN) offers primary source credentialing services for member hospitals through the Panhandle Credentials Verification Organization (PCVO). Primary source means that we research credentials back to the original source, such as college diploma, medical school diploma, internships, residencies, past employment and licensure. PCVO queries to national data bases ensure the most up to date information on physicians, extenders and others who seek privileges at your hospital or practice. We receive automated updates from licensing agencies in Florida, Georgia and other states if adverse actions are brought against a provider.
The Prescription Assistance Program is designed to help provide free or low cost medication for those of any age who cannot afford them. We act as advocates for our clients and work in partnership with their physicians and the pharmaceutical manufacturers. Through this program we have provided services to thousands in our 5 County service area. This service is provided free of charge for any participant. If you need help getting your prescription medicines, give our dedicated staff a call. We will always try to help.
Our Board of Directors consists primarily of local physicians, many of who have served faithfully for many years. PAHN would not be possible without their guidance and leadership.
